Norwood Coleman photoNORWOOD J. COLEMAN is a resident of Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Coleman is currently the Clinical Supervisor of the Wilmington Child Development-Community Policing Program, a program which links law enforcement with mental health clinicians to reduce or prevent trauma response in children. Mr. Coleman has worked in the field of clinical social work for over seven years. He received his Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Delaware State University.

In the Spring of 2010, Mr. Coleman was invited to teach as an adjunct professor at Delaware State University Graduate Program in Social Work. Mr. Coleman has been a guest speaking throughout the State of Delaware, educating professionals and community members about child traumatic stress, healthy child development, domestic violence, and inclusive mental health service delivery among diverse populations.

Mr. Coleman, for the past several years, has been a participating member of the planning committee for the Community Mental Health Conference, formerly, the People of Color Conference on Mental Health in New Castle, DE. He also co-chaired the Southern Delaware People of Color Conference in April of 20110. Mr. Coleman is a volunteer at AIDS Delaware and a member of the Domestic Violence Task Force of Delaware.

An avid supporter of the arts as a part of a holistic education experience, Mr. Coleman also is an accomplished musician, who teaches violin and viola in the City of Wilmington.
